The Shepherd of the Hills combo includes two fantastic shows: Harold Bell Wright's story brought to life before your very eyes and the Sons of the Pioneers, an award winning group celebrating their 75th anniversary.

At The Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Theatre, Harold Bell Wright's epic story of love, loss, power, hardship, and the true meaning of life is immortalized every night on our star-lit stage. It takes over 80 actors and actresses, 40 horses, a flock of sheep, several guns and rifles, an actual burning log cabin, and a vintage 1908 DeWitt automobile to make the live action performance what it is - a legend.

This Grammy award winning group returns to the Pavilion Theatre at the Shepherd of the Hills in 2009 to celebrate their amazing 75th anniversary as one of America's best loved groups. Designated as "National Treasures" by the Smithsonian Institute, the Pioneers have received countless awards and accolades over the years. They have their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and have appeared in 98 movies with such stars as John Wayne, Gene Autry, Bing Crosby and 45 films with Roy Rogers. Their hits such as Cool Water, Tumbling Tumbleweeds, Ghost Riders in the Sky and Happy Trails set the standard for every other western group that has come along.
